QuickBooks & Accounting Specialist

As a QuickBooks & Accounting Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering consistent, accurate bookkeeping and client support using QuickBooks Online and integrated apps. You will manage daily financial data, respond to client needs, assist with compliance filings, and help prepare businesses for year-end tax readiness — all while creating peace of mind and upholding our five-star service standard.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and timely bookkeeping records in QuickBooks Online, including categorizing transactions, reconciling bank/credit card/loan accounts, and reviewing reports
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax forms, 1099s, and related state/local filings
- Provide financial clarity to clients through monthly/quarterly report preparation and cleanup work for year-end tax filings
- Support clients in managing invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable workflows
- Stay informed on accounting and tax regulations, providing guidance and recommendations that reflect current best practices
- Stay current on QuickBooks Online features and 3rd-party app integrations; proactively recommend improvements
- Guide clients through transitions to cloud-based accounting workflows and software
- Respond to client inquiries in a timely, kind, and knowledgeable manner, building confidence and peace of mind
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping workflows and general accounting principles
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Clear and professional communication skills

Preferred experience & skills
- 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping and QuickBooks Online support
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Experience preparing or supporting sales tax filings, 1099s, and year-end financial reports
- Familiarity with popular 3rd-party accounting tools (e.g., Bill.com, Gusto, Melio, Dext, Corpay, Relay)
- Confidence in training or educating clients in financial workflows and tools
